Winnemucca (three days in the belly) Plays to Sold Out Crowd of 200 in San Jose, CA

On Friday, June 24th, the most recent Shelby Company production, Winnemucca (three days in the belly), premiered to a sold out crowd of over 200. The event was held at San Jose Stage Company, who graciously donated their space for the event. Playwright Dan Moyer has performed there on many occasions in his youth, originally as Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol (pictured lower left, with the crutch).

Friends and family of the cast and crew packed the theater for the fundraiser event. Will Brill, Jenni Putney and Grayson DeJesus held the audience between laughter and suspense for 90 minutes and recieved a standing ovation from the full house. The event was not only the first performance of this brand new play by Moyer but also the kick off of a cross-country tour of the show. The first stop is the Minnesota Fringe Festival from July 30 - August 5th, where the show will officially premiere. Then it is on to the New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC where the group will stage the show again. With their set rolled up and tied down to the roof, the cast and crew is hitting the road and driving across the country to put on this show for as many people as possible. The fundriaser was not only a successful first performance but the gracious and generous support from the audience allowed them to raise enough money to make the trip possible.

Many Thanks!
